Walkin' in town/Train travellin' (11:22) Traduci ita

(da "I didn't ask you to come")

A different landscape
that my eyes can't recognise
trees seem to be blue, under a pale blue sky
Blue is the grass, and blue those two little birds
and in my ears only blue notes can be heard
Strange buildings, look like entangled bodies
more sad than happy for this temporary intimity
so, suddenly, these bodies-buildings get up, scared,
and look at me, through their lightened
painless windows...
I turned my face, trying to find something else,
to exercise my desire, for passion higher and higher,
searchin' for something brighter,
and then I noticed who was there:
just sitting in front of me, in that dirty compartment,
a one who was thinkin' about nothin',
just listening to the sound of the train...
I have to consider his existence,
he uses to wake and go to work
and when it's time for lunch he uses to eat in the canteen
And then, at the end of the day,
he always gets home early
sometimes makes love with his wife, but in a hurry:
he has to work, tomorrow...
And he seems to be happy,
no desire in his irritating stare
His trees seem to be green, just as the grass he sees,
'cause he's accustomed to see them green,
like normal people use
He's proud to be normal,
he's proud of his neat and tidy shoes...
But maybe he's only a quiet man,
who just does the best that he can
to keep himself alive, and then,
sometimes finds himself in the fan
and feels just like now I am...
The two birds have flown away,
and I have to invent a new story
to let the time pass less slowly
and to forget the sound of the train...
